If you're in the Davis, W.V. area, take a drive up to Dolly Sods, if just for the view.

Part of the Monongahela National Forest, as is most of the area, Dolly Sods offers an especially interesting environment, as compared to the surrounding area.  An interesting habitat with beaver ponds, deer and other wildlife, as well as some interesting plantlife, like huckleberry and other interesting and unusual plantlife.  Views are excellent, especially from the end of FR 75 on top of the escarpment, where there are numerous trailheads.  Lots to see and do here.  My favorite part of the area is the Red Creek area from the Laneville trailhead.
