38.23728, -81.02467 (approximate gps for side road to river level)

From Fayetteville, go north on US 19 and left at SR 129 (Mt. Nebo). Follow to left on CR 11/1 (Panther Mtn. Rd.) to a left on CR 22 Griffin Rd./Tipton Rd. Continue on CR 22 Griffin Rd./Tipton Rd. to sharp left switchback at Bucklick Branch.  There is a road just before the switchback that will take you down to river level, which is where the main falls are located.  This road is a total high clearance vehicle access road.  There are two creek crossings.  There is parking just at the first crossing.  The second crossing looked very iffy to me unless you are driving a monster truck.  The walk down from the first crossing is short, so don't take any chances.

Access is also available from the other direction on Panther Mountain Rd. by driving SR 129 to Peter's Creek Rd.  Turn on Peter's Creek Rd. and follow to the railroad tracks and then continue onto the unpaved Panther Mountain Rd.  A warning here.  As of my last visit on 1 May 2018, I encountered some difficulty at about the halfway point to Bucklick Branch.  The road has given way and slid down hill and there were several trees that had fallen across.  I was able to drive under while holding tight to the high side of the road, but I figure this is going to be impassable as some point in the near future, unless they do some shoring.
