I must admit to inadequacy when it comes to shooting this falls. I've been there so many times, but never been happy with composition. It's a difficult place to shoot. Normally, when the water is running, the beach is flooded and getting out beyond the shore growth is near impossible. Add to that, that the river is so wide here, and this IS a river wide falls, it's hard to get it right. The building you see on the left is an electrical power generating station. It funnels the river water into the power house turbines to generate electricity for the local area and has been in service for many years. Just up the road is Glen Ferris Inn, a historical and beautiful riverside lodging which I recommend.
